We offer 3/4 day, full-day, and long range adventures. These trips can target single species, or branch out to get a more diversified experience! The waters of Kachemak Bay and the surrounding area are home to unique species such as halibut, salmon, rockfish, lingcod, and more. Our season for halibut begins as early as May and concludes the end of September. The limit on Halibut in this area is two per day. One of these fish can be any size, the other must be smaller than 27 inches.
For all of our fishing trips, you will need to purchase a fishing license and bring your drinks, snacks, and meals for the day. You never know what the weather is going to do out on the ocean, so it’s best to be prepared with warm layers of clothing and light rain gear.
Our knowledgeable office staff can help you with any fishing questions, as well as arrange lodging.
(Only offered on our 20-passenger vessel)
This trip is great for beginners or anglers who do not want to spend a full day on the water. We target areas with lots of action, typically focusing on halibut in the 10–20 pound range. This is a single-species trip targeting halibut only and does not include salmon or rockfish.
(Offered on vessels accommodating 6–16 anglers, depending on the boat)
This trip is a step up in seriousness and is designed for anglers looking for a more traditional Alaska halibut experience. We typically see halibut in the 20–50 pound range on these trips, with larger fish always being a possibility. As with any fishing trip, every day on the water is different and no catch size can be guaranteed. This is also a single-species trip focused on halibut only and does not include salmon or rockfish. We do occasionally catch Pacific cod while targeting halibut.
(Offered on vessels accommodating 6–10 anglers)
This trip adds a second target species, which is why additional time is allocated. Anglers will target halibut and salmon, giving you the opportunity to experience two of Alaska’s most iconic fish in one trip.
(Offered on our 6–12 passenger vessels only)
This trip is a level 10 adventure for serious anglers and requires favorable sea conditions to make the 45–60 mile run offshore. We target large halibut, multiple species of rockfish, and lingcod when in season. This trip does not include salmon.
