Hunting Packages
Bear Hunting:
Starting on Sundays in May and early June, we offer 6 day/5 night bear hunts. Shortly after leaving Homer, stretches of shoreline can be glassed for bears. This rarely-seen area of the Peninsula borders the Kenai Fjords National Park and has spectacular scenery. This time of year, bears are concentrated below the snow line as that is where the food is. Most bears are taken at or near the beach, keeping packing and climbing to a minimum. The 18 to 20 hours of daylight allows for plenty of fantastic morning, afternoon, and evening hunting. We also spend a lot of time glassing tidal flats from shore. This is the most effective way to hunt these bears. It just doesn't get any better!
Deer Hunting:
This will be our 30th season hosting deer hunts on Kodiak. These hunts are 8 days and 7 nights long. Hunts begin on Saturday mornings with chartered flights directly to the boat. The boat is usually located at the south end of Kodiak Island in the Olga Bay area. Through our years of experience, we have found that leaving the boat on site and flying in is the best method to maximize your hunting opportunity! From there the adventure begins. Check out the Deer Hunting tab for a description of what a trip looks like!
Other Adventures:
There are many seasonal activities available in Alaska. June, July, and August offer a wide variety of salmon fishing. Duck hunting begins in October (Kodiak island is known for its populations of Long-Tailed Ducks, Harlequin, and more!). Several color phases of fox are abundant on the island during deer season, and Crabbing opens toward the beginning of the fall. Whatever is on your bucket list, we are dedicated to providing you with an adventure tailored to accomplishing it. Our staff's combined expertise and years of experience help to ensure you have an Alaskan experience not to be forgotten!
