Perched near the famous Baycrest Overlook Point on Sterling Hwy, our Cabin Suites are situated atop the 500 foot high bluffs overlooking Kachemak Bay boasting Alaska's most breathtaking views. With a panorama seascape, boats passing by the picturesque volcanoes (Douglas and Augustine) line our front skyline. Located at the entrance to Homer, our property is easy to navigate to and travel 3 miles to town as needed. While enjoying our unspoiled 5 acre cliffside, it's common to observe eagles, ground animals, native flora, whale spouting and the occasional moose visitor from the privacy of your own Cabin Suite. This is the Coastline where class and comfort collide. Each of these Cabins were crafted with unique features to give you the Alaskan experience just out of town and yet still close enough to the activity Homer offers.
Each cabin is nestled into its own space across our 5 acre bluff front. Each has a private deck with BBQ and a relaxing outdoor environment. Our common areas include use of our hot tub, horseshoe and fire pits all with views of the ocean.
All rates are per person and based on double occupancy. For guests traveling in your party that are non-fishing, or you are a single angler only please add $75.00 (per person) per night.
This signature fishing trip targets Alaskan Halibut in Cook Inlet and Kachemak Bay. This is about a 6-8 hour deep sea fishing trip. The ideal season for Halibut fishing is late April through mid-September though we have caught them out of season. This trip targets 1 halibut of any size and a 2nd halibut which must be 27″ or under per regulation.
This troll trip targets King Salmon within 30 miles of the Homer Harbor. In total this is a 6-8 hour trip including drive time to the fishing grounds. We offer salmon fishing year round! Silver Salmon are on the menu as well during their run which typically begins mid-July to mid-August. Limits are based on location fished and salmon species running and our goal is to limit out on your wild-caught fresh-is-best fishing!
Adding Rockfish to the trip extends the time on the water from 6-8 hours to 8-10. Drift jigging for a variety of species over pinnacles that terrace the ocean floor adds to your daily catch. Limits vary per species and this can be the most exciting trip for a fast-action angler. Rockfish are prized from our waters and can be prepared in a variety of ways. If we have this upgrade available, it is worth trying! Subject to season availability.
Depending on the season we will target a variety of salmon including the prized King Salmon (Chinook) all year long and Silver Salmon (Coho) mid July through mid August. This upgrade extends your day approximately 2 hours as we troll for prized Alaskan Salmon. This is a rotational fishing when we troll.
In addition to our standard cancellation policy, our lodging packages have some additional details. In the event the weather does not cooperate and we downgrade to a shorter trip, only the amount paid towards the upgrade will be refunded. If we are not able to fish at all due to weather or boat related issues (although seldom), we will refund the package rate of that fishing trip. That fee may not match your fishing confirmation which shows a non-discounted non-package rate. All refunds will be paid by the following Monday of your final day. This is done once captains’ logs are turned in. Although fishing does sometimes get cancelled for reasons that are out of our control, the lodging portion does not then become refundable. Lodging is a separate business and is not in any way contingent on a client’s fishing trip. We have offset your fishing trip expense by bundling your package versus A La Carte, but with that reservation, the accommodations still need to be made whole for the room they held for your trip. Most summers are sold out in advance so we offer this service so that anglers aren’t left stranded without a place to stay and cook up their catch!
